The sculpture is a combination of clay, styrofoam, epoxy resin, paints and sprays.
I came up with my work over a year ago when I was going through a toxic relationship that I wanted to escape from, but I couldn’t. It lasted my entire adult life and defined me a lot, it caused me to suffer from very severe anxiety and severe depression. The purple side is spirituality, which I started to get deeply into at that time, our energy and how we influence everything around us. Black is pain, suffering and putting ourselves into the frames and limitations of the ego and subconscious from which we cannot escape.
This shows how much our head influences the body and everything around us, how spiritual crystals, spiritual connections in our head and our personal development create the purple side of man – me. And the negatives affect the body and, like a disease, occupy its parts and our perception of reality.
It’s like the parable of the two wolves, where the wolf you feed wins. Good backlash is bad, neither has an advantage, neither has a better chance. The one you focus on will be successful. It’s the same with us if we constantly focus on the evil that surrounds us and in difficult situations we lose the positive side of our personality.
However, I decided to choose the best I could. I left this relationship, I broke away from the toxic environment. At the moment I have a Master’s degree in cosmetology, I teach 400 people in this field. Moreover, I am an artist and a hypnotherapist, I want to help others, I want to change the world and at this point my body no longer fights. I choose purple, purity, spirituality, connection with the universe. I know that following him will give me everything I deserve and I can have peace of mind. I don’t have to be afraid anymore. I’m not a scared girl, this year I became a woman, and the jury’s distinction last year in this competition was one of the things that helped me believe in myself. I will fight for a place on the podium and I believe that I will finally succeed.
